Aesthetic Dermal Filler:

In facial minimally invasive procedures, PCL microspheres can be used as injectable fillers to improve facial appearance and restore depressed areas, providing natural, safe, and long-lasting results. PCL microspheres continuously stimulate fibroblasts, promote collagen regeneration, and form a collagen scaffold that stabilizes the microspheres, preventing migration and maintaining a more durable volumizing effect. Compared with traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, PCL-based fillers generally offer longer-lasting outcomes.



Drug Delivery:

PCL microspheres are made from biocompatible and biodegradable medical-grade materials with high crystallinity, leading to relatively slow degradation. This makes them well-suited for long-acting drug delivery systems and the development of sustained-release microsphere injections for a wide range of pharmaceutical agents.



 



Other Applications:

PCL microspheres can serve as carriers for immobilizing antibodies or antigens, enhancing immunoassay efficiency and sensitivity. For example, in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), using PCL microspheres instead of traditional flat plates increases the reaction surface area, improving detection accuracy.
